The Run

An advertising film for a health plan campaign, produced for PitchiPoy, an Israeli animation studio active since the 1980s. A run that never stops: the runner crosses completely different environments without the film ever cutting.

It is a fake single take, built in Blender. Tunnel, mountain and night are three separate environments, joined inside the camera move itself: the transition happens behind an element crossing the foreground or inside a fast whip, so the eye never catches the seam. What makes or breaks a shot like this is not the seam, it is continuity: the runner's stride, the direction of the light and the camera speed all have to cross the cut unchanged. Change any one of the three and the viewer feels the cut even without seeing it.
