A small studio that delivers at feature scale
GGfx is Gregorio Guirado's animation, visual effects and AI imagery studio in São Paulo. A small core, a network of specialists brought in per project, and a way of working that comes from having delivered an entire feature in six months.
Who runs it
Gregorio Guirado directs, produces and animates. He started taking clients in 2022, with an Israeli animation studio running since the 1980s, and founded GGfx in July 2024.
In 2024 GGfx took on post-production for Meu Avô é um Nihonjin, an animated feature by PG Produções: a six-month contract, the whole film passing through the studio's compositing, a premiere on Amazon Prime and selection for Cannes, Annecy and Ventana Sur.
What made a feature fit into six months was not manpower. Before production started, GGfx wrote an automated Blender pipeline and ran the film through it. That way of working became a talk at the Blender Conference in Amsterdam, on accessible automated pipelines for small teams.
How the studio is built
A small fixed core, plus specialists brought in per project and credited by name. That is what makes it possible to take a single piece one week and a feature the next without changing studios, and it is why the credits on every project page say who did what.
When a project is too large for one person, GGfx partners with another studio instead of inflating the team. The startup acceleration film, for instance, was made with ATUM Studio, and the credit is there.
What we do differently
GGfx uses AI-generated imagery, but directed by 3D. The scene is laid out in 3D first, which fixes framing, pose and light before the image exists. That takes the result out of the lottery, and it is what keeps a character identical across dozens of pieces.
Craft first, AI as the multiplier. The result cannot look like cheap AI, and that is the standard.

Clients in Brazil, the United States, Israel, Croatia and Nigeria. Animated cinema, technology, real estate, fire-fighting equipment, fashion, veterinary pharmaceuticals, sustainability and luxury automotive.
GGfx went through the third edition of Amplifica Cine, a programme run by ADE SAMPA, and represented it at Web Summit Rio in 2026.
