GGfx Case Study · Exercise Catalog Restyle
Case study · AI catalog restyle

The same exercises. A library that looks like your brand.

Most workout apps run on the same licensed exercise animations as their competitors. For this study we took clips from a real fitness app's catalog of roughly 1,000 exercise videos and re-rendered each one as a photoreal instructor in a consistent, branded gym, under a fictional demo brand. The movement is untouched. Only the look changes.

How this study was made

One visual base, reused across every clip.

instructor reference
REF-A · The instructor · defined once, then held consistent across every video
environment reference
REF-B · The environment · one gym, one light, one mood for the whole catalog

This was an independent study, so we chose the instructor and the gym ourselves. On a real project those choices are yours. Your instructors, your space, your wardrobe, your brand on every video. The base is built once and carries the entire catalog.

No filming. No studio schedule. No re-shooting a thousand videos.

Each clip is re-rendered directly from your existing footage, so batches ship in days, not months. The original exercise form is preserved exactly, which means nothing needs to be re-validated by your training team.

Where this applies

Any catalog of instructional movement video.

Fitness and coaching apps

Exercise libraries built on licensed animations, 3D mannequins or stock GIFs that look identical to every competitor using the same source.

Physio, rehab and safety

Prescribed-exercise and ergonomics libraries where a human, branded presentation builds patient and employee trust.

White-label platforms

Coaching and gym software that could offer branded video libraries to its own customers as a premium tier.

If your source clips read clearly, we can restyle them. 3D mannequins, GIFs, stock footage or older filmed content all work as input.

How a project runs

You make two visual decisions. We carry them across the catalog.

You define

  • The instructors (typically one male, one female): look, age range, build.
  • The environment: the style of the space your brand trains in.
  • References and notes welcome. That is what steers the visual base.

We deliver

  • A visual base built once: instructors plus environment, with 2 revision rounds.
  • Finished videos in seamless loops, ready to drop into your product, 1 revision round each.
  • A pilot batch first, usually your 20 most-viewed exercises, so your own engagement numbers decide whether to scale.

GGfx is led by a feature-film 3D animator with credits on Amazon Prime and Cannes, and a Blender Conference speaker on production pipelines. The same production discipline runs our AI video work: one locked visual base, consistent output at catalog scale.
